  • Qualified in the U.G.C. - J.R.F. Examination (National Educational Test) held in August, 1986.
  • Joined as U.G.C. - J.R.F. in the Department of Mathematics, Acharya Nagarjuna University, in 1987 under the supervision of Prof. D. Ramakotaiah.
  • Submitted thesis entitled, 'Theory of Matrix Near-Rings and Near-Rings with ATM ' to Acharya Nagarjuna University, for the award of Ph.D. in June, 1992.
  • Ph.D. was awarded in December, 1993.
  • University Grants Commission, New Delhi, sanctioned a Minor Research Project entitled 'A Study of Right Quasi-Regular Elements in a Right Near-Ring', in March, 2004.

Research Guidance:

       Acharya Nagarjuna University initiated the process of recognizing Research Supervisors from outside the University College in January, 2004 and the name of Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao appeared in the first list of five approved external research supervisors in Mathematics in April, 2004. At present four Research Scholars are working for Ph.D., and five Research Scholars are working for M.Phil.

  1. A Research scholar, C.Susma , was awarded the Degree of Master of Philosophy in Mathematics by Acharya Nagarjuna University for her dissertation entitled 'Equiprime near-Rings Modules' in February 2015.
  2. A research scholar, K. Siva Prasad, was awarded the Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics for his thesis entitled 'Right Jacobson Radicals for Right Near-Rings' by Acharya Nagarjuna University, in February, 2008. This is the first Ph.D. degree awarded to a research scholar of the P. G. Centre, P. B. Siddhartha College, by Acharya Nagarjuna University. Moreover, this is the first Ph.D. degree awarded to a research scholar of an affiliated College, by Acharya Nagarjuna University.
  3. A research scholar, T. Sujatha, was awarded the Degree of Master of Philosophy in Mathematics by Acharya Nagarjuna University for her dissertation entitled 'Brown-McCoy Radicals of Near-Rings' in September, 2006. This is the first M.Phil degree awarded to a research scholar of the P. G. Centre, P. B. Siddhartha College, by Acharya Nagarjuna University.
  4. A research scholar, C. Krishnaveni, was awarded the Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics for her thesis entitled, 'On Radicals of Near-Rings and LP-Near-Rings' by Acharya Nagarjuna University, in January, 2018.

  1. Delivered an invited talk on the "Radical theory of Rings" in the National Seminar on "Recent Advances in Mathematical Sciences" organized by the Department of Mathematics Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada on Feb 12,2016.
  2. Delivered an invited talk on 'Matrix near-rings' in the 'National Seminar on Algebra and its Applications' organized by the Department of Mathematics, Acharya Nagarjuna University, during 5 - 6 January, 2006.
